The Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks (CGPDTM) maintains several public search databases. These tools are free to use and are the starting point for any availability search, status check, or prior-art investigation before filing an IP application in India.
Trade Mark Public Search
Search the full trade marks database by wordmark, phonetic similarity, or Vienna classification (for logos and devices). Filter by class. Essential for availability checks before filing a new trade mark application.
